As the most sophisticated form of life on planet Earth, we house within ourselves infinite ability and boundless resources. To overcome and to thrive is basic human instinct. However, sometimes life brings multiple challenges and pain. We may feel overwhelmed, confused, or even broken. It seems like an all-enveloping dark cloud that refuses to sail away. While some issues require shifts in thought and behavior, some may require deeper exploration and work to heal the wound. Either way, you don’t have to go through it alone. I would be privileged to hold your hand through your journey and help you reach wholeness.
I strive to establish an honest and respectful therapeutic relationship with my clients. You will find that I am a keen and active listener who is here to support you. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, and Solution-focused Therapy, to name a few. I draw from various other evidence-based therapy modalities to find what would work best for you.
For 17 plus years, I have worked with individuals across diverse cultures and issues in Counseling, Social Work, and Psychotherapy. I am registered in the provinces of British Columbia and Ontario. As a Social Worker in the field, I have been a disaster relief and rehabilitation worker, a legislative lobbyist for robust laws protecting crime victims, and have testified for my clients in various courts of law. I enjoy training, facilitating workshops and support groups. As a clinician in the field of mental health, I have worked in acute care hospitals, assisted living facilities, community agencies, and private practice.
