I am a graduate student completing my Master of Social Work with the University of Calgary specializing in clinical practice with individuals, families, and groups. As an Indigenous person my goal is to provide culturally appropriate support to others.
For the last six years I have been working in Indigenous Child Intervention and Family Preservation in Indigenous communities in northern Alberta. My primary focus has been working with parents and families involved with the child welfare system.
My own struggles and lived experience have given me a passion for helping others. I believe in meeting people where they are in their healing journey, helping them find their strengths, and empowering them to meet their goals.
Using a trauma-informed, strength-based approach I prioritize building a good helping relationship using a wide range of theories to help meet your needs and goals.
